We are looking for a volunteer fundraising manager to help achieve the vision and mission of our foundation.

Volunteer Hours: 10-15 hours per week

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for:

  • Raising funds for the non-profit organization
  • Assist in the development of grant applications, proposals, fundraisers, donors and sponsorships.

We prefer someone who:

  • Is a fund raising subject-matter expert
  • Has a provable track record for assisting to build nonprofit organizations
  • Has a verifiable past performance of securing funding for nonprofit organizations.
  • Is proficient in project management
  • Has a proving history as a self-starter
  • Is well organized
  • Is a team player
  • Performs well in a start-up environment

2.0 Grant Manager (Non-Profit Position)

The Non-Profit Organization

The NanoLab Foundation is a Nonprofit Organization committed to student learning improvements in underprivileged schools, skills training of the unemployed, healthy living in underserved communities, income generation opportunities in disadvantaged communities, and reducing human suffering in disaster areas in the USA and abroad. To help achieve the vision and mission of our Foundation, we are seeking a volunteer Grant Manager to assist in the development and submission of grant requests to donors and supporters. The grant manager will maintain the database of donors and sponsors contact information and their requirements. The grant manager will ensure timely and accurate correspondence with supporters in response to requests or when changes to project scope are needed.

Volunteer Hours: 10-15 hours per week

The Position will be responsible for:

  • Assist in researching and identifying opportunities and potential supporters for funding our programs
  • Assist in the development and writing of grant proposals and proofread grants and other relevant documents
  • Work with top management to develop and review proposed grant budgets
  • Manage the grant submission process and coordinate with donors and sponsors as required, and submit proposals for single- and multi-supported initiatives
  • Follow up with grant offices after submissions via their internal processes
  • Correspond with donors and sponsors in response to Requests For Information (RFI) and/or when Changes Of Scopes (COS) are necessary
  • Follow up with grantors and accredited supporters to acquire signatures on Letters Of Agreement (LOAs), review LOAs and budgeted amounts for accuracy, and file all signed documents
  • Prepare e-mail summaries for top management of all submissions, approvals and rejections
  • Prepare handing over documents for project implementation to Programs Department
  • Assist with coordinating flow of work and contracts with grant writers including freelance and intern grant writers necessary for proposal development or other work required
  • Train, manage, and supervise freelance, intern, part-time, full-time or contract Grant Writers, Grant Coordinators and Grant Support
  • Oversee all project reconciliations, including directing through the different departments and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ensure compliance to Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Understand and adhere to specific grantor internal guidelines and be accountable to require compliance of others on the team.

We prefer someone who:

  • Has a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Self-starter, ability to take instructions and move forward to achieve project goals
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to research grantor websites and submit grant requests electronically
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
